Rito's Mexican Food

Alex was our waiter and he was so personable, friendly and completely takes his job serious! He explained the menu and the cool history of the family owned restaurant. I assumed he was part of the family with how much he cared. When I asked him, he said he wasn't. His work ethic and authenticity is such a bright light in a dim world! We had tacos and they were AMAZING! Their chips and salsa were incredible! LIVE MUSIC too! We will absolutely be back sooner than later!

I started eating at this family's first restaurant on Garfield and 14th Street now they've opened several restaurants with their excellent Mexican food. By far one of the very best in the valley of the Sun. This new store in Mesa is the same great food. And they still treat you like family. Enjoy! John Daley

I had the Burro Red chili mix with beans and smothered enchilada style, rice, and man talk about delicious red sauce, my whole family of 10 loved the food.

We enjoyed our dining experience at Rito’s! We were greeted with a very friendly hostess and from there on throughout the evening I noticed a running theme of the staff being nice and professional, even our waiter was great. We had a group of nine, but they were real accommodating and we were seated quickly. The food was really good! Even the free chips and salsa is really good…and now days a lot of other restaurants charge you for the chips and salsa that aren’t even that good. My husband and I both got regular bean burritos but we got them chimi enchilada style, and they were huge! I got the red enchilada sauce and my husband got the green sauce, we tried each others and we can’t figure out which one we like more…they’re both delicious! The only thing I kind of wish they had was more taco options, but I think they’re bigger on their burritos in all kinds of styles with sauces/chili’s (which is all very tasty!). I definitely recommend trying this restaurant out!

Amazing food and portions. I had a great experience at this place and was pleased with the service, food and cleanliness of the restaurant. When you are seated, you will get a hearty portion of chips and 2 fresh salsas. I liked the spicy one the most because it was bursting with flavor but the mild one was good too. I recommend the Green Sauce Burrito, however, the Red Sauce Burrito is great too so if it’s hard to make a choice, get the mixed one to get the best of both worlds. The filling contains chunks of cubed beef that is very tender much like tamale beef. The sauce is made with chunks of tomato, peppers and many other goodies and spices. The burrito can get messy so use a fork and knife because you will get all the gooey delicious sauce all over yourself. The rice was flavorful and authentically Mexican and the refried beans were creamy and paired perfectly with the rice. I was quite happy with my meal and experience overall. If you are craving Mexican Food, this is the spot for you. Hope you enjoy!

First time here, food is very good just like on Garfield and 14st, what's different but good is that they have combos you can add rice and beans to any meal, unlike 14st, and unlike 14st they have a good chunkie salsa and the OG salsa also,also we had Alex as our server he was very good

This place NEVER disappoints! I started going to the original Rito’s on 14th St. and Garfield many years ago and absolutely loved it, so I was in Heaven when I heard they opened this location in Mesa near the Bass Pro Shops!! I’ve been going to this location since it opened it opened in 2023. The food is excellent, especially the green chile burritos. I switch between a green chili mixed (with refried beans) enchilada style (red or green or both) and the green chili burrito with a side of beans or beans and rice. I also LOVE their crispy shredded beef or chicken tacos with Guacamole! These are huge so you only need two to fill you up. I just recently went again on 7/1/2025 and it was amazing! Whoever posts bad reviews doesn’t know good Mexican food. Period!
